Sage Francis’ “Copper Gone” – Album Review + “Grace” Official Music Video Out Now!

Hey peeps..

So, recently we had one of our friends and non-do hiphop affiliate to take a listen to the new Sage Francis album “Copper Gone” and share their thoughts… This is what they had to say:

“With a ‘DIY or Die’ approach the HipHop veteran delivers a compelling, captivating classic for 2014. The album deals with the artist’s signature outlook on social and contemporary issues in and out of the HipHop scene, validating his ‘silverback gorilla status’ through cunning multi-tiered wordplay and melancholic undertones. The proclamation is that Sage is here to stay, and even though he professes ‘both sides of my bed are the wrong ones and I am always waking up’ he continues to arouse the minds of his fans and followers”.

and what an amazing album it is!

Sage also recently dropped this assiduous official music video for the track “Grace” from the album; it really does the track justice!!

About dohiphop101

“do_hiphop” is NOT a label. It’s hip hop in itself promoting whom we feel are the most influential artists of our time from all over the world who deserve to be heard by the masses. Founded in June 2010, “do hiphop” is a website creating awareness of causes created through forces beyond our control and willing the true hip hop listener and artist to believe that they are able to be the major contributing factor in changing people’s mind-sets and lifestyles for the better, not only with what they put out but also with whom they affect, collaborate with and change. “Ultimately it’s about what we put in”, says ThiNXx(a representative of do hiphop). “So many musicians out there get so wrapped up in their own world and how they’re going to make it that they forget about who’s listening and how much can be accomplished just through being conscious and creating awareness of something that whether they like it or not… Actually affects them… Things like poverty, disease & oppression affect us all, no matter how socially elite we think we are and it is our responsibility as human beings to do all we can to invoke change which we CAN do through our music”. Change starts the minute you invoke it! We choose to see beyond the hype… home is where the heart is. Join our movement;
