Here’s a bit about this amazing artist!

“Straight out of Johannesburg’s West Rand, Power Of Thought is an emcee/producer of Greek ethnicity, and founding member of the underground Hip Hop crew, “Articulate Artists”. A veteran in the South African Hip Hop scene and having rocked countless stages, from Splash Jam and 1808, to Back To The City, The Boombox and Jozi-fest he is without a doubt, a serious force to be reckoned with.

He has two globally successful projects to date; namely, “The WorkHorse Programme” received a 4/5 star rating (HYPE magazine 2010) and “Dope Joints For POT Heads Vol.1” (9/10 rating www.headpage.co.za, and to this day remains the highest rating ever issued by the popular Hip Hop site), Power of thought is best known for his deep tone, complex rhyme schemes and controversial content as well as a fierce battle rapper with a knack for comedic punchlines and clever wordplay.

Over the years he’s shared stages with way too many artists to mention and recently released his album “the Boom Bap Bandit” with features from award winning rapper Diabolic (WarHorse Records/New York) and many more. This album was also featured in our “Choices of 2019”:
