I thought we could switch it up a little and get the man himself to answer a few questions about the track and his music in general.. Big thanks to him for getting involved.
Check it out here:

What was the inspiration for this track/ video?
544291_10151340453834685_418931249_nBESATREE: Couple of things actually, one major factor was the loss of being a “stepdad”. Although it is a breakup track, for me the emphasis of loss is on no longer being in contact with my ex’s son who I helped raise from age 0-5. I have no legal ties or anything so I just stay stuck on the sidelines. It’s also about moving from a home that I really like. I lived here with a family, now I live here with a 6lb dog hahahaha so I need something more practical… on the same note tho, I feel devastated. So, that’s why the video release date is the last day of me staying here.  If you don’t mind us asking; what is your weapon of choice when it comes to production?BESATREE: No problem. I use Ableton Live for the majority of things. Big fan.

When can we expect a Besatree full length?
BESATREE: Honestly, probably a year out before I even am thinking about anything like that. Right now, I’m in singles/video mode. I am finding the artistic experience much more intriguing and enjoyable to go through the entire process of really making something stand out for just one track. First, making something worthy of a video… then, the whole video process is just another entire realm. Also, I come from doing albums all the time so it’s just a good change of pace for me right now.

Who are your greatest influences as an artist?
BESATREE: Resilient people. Emotions can just take over my whole fucking life so quickly. Resilience is admirable to say the least.

If you could work with any producer in the world, who would it be?
BESATREE: Maybe Think from the UK or Equalibrum…. Probably not someone everyone’s already heard… make our own waves.

Your dream collaboration..?
BESATREE: Das Racist

Any plans of touring soon; where are you planning on visiting?
BESATREE: No laid out plans as of yet. A few misc out of state shows but no tour or anything as of now. The Dissolve is not just a track for me… it’s the journal entry to my life right now, and right now… shit’s in shambles and I’ve got some pickup to do… Huge Thanks to DoHipHop for talking with me on the video/track, appreciate you guys. Big love also to my fellow cohorts: Supremeneckprotecta and Gadzooks / Red Pillgrimage.

It’s only a pleasure man; Keep up the great work!!
