“A Hitchhiker’s Guide To A Verse” by Loop Minded Individuals – Full Length Album Out Now!

Looking for something fresh to elevate your weekend listening??? Well, look no further… Loop Minded Individuals’ (ESH the Monolith and Intrikit) new album “A Hitchhiker’s Guide to a Verse” is just that and much much more! With such an epic lineup of tracks and features this is one project that’s just impossible to overlook and even better it’s available on a limited edition cassette tape via I Had an Accident Records right here:

“The idea of taking the listener through a journey is one that gets tossed around frequently by artists. But with “Loop Minded Individuals: A Hitchhikers Guide to A Verse,” ESH the Monolith and Intrikit look to take that concept one step further.

ESH and Intrikit – producer/MCs representing Boston and Norwich, CT., respectively – spearhead the 10-track project, a throwback to gritty late-’90s rap compilations that aims to bring together some of the finest up-and-coming vocalists in independent music. Loosely inspired by the Douglas Adams’ novel its name pays homage to, the album invites an array of MCs and singers to hop on soundscapes, sharing their story with ESH and Intrikit and, in turn, the listener.

“We used this album as an opportunity to work with some of the talented people we’ve met around the country. We wanted to have a wide range of voices, each bringing their unique story and perspective,” says ESH, whose previous projects include 2009’s “The ADDventures of an E.ccentric S.uper H.ero,” 2011’s “Invisible” (with producer Dox Ellis) and, most recently, “Nightworks,” a collaboration with AR Classic producer The Arcitype.

Aside from ESH and Intrikit (whose own work includes the 2013 DIM release “Bright Ideas”), “Loop Minded Individuals” features vocals from Elucid, Moe Pope, Roc Doogie, Romen Rok, Has-Lo, Teddy Faley, F. Virtue, DeeBee, the Kreators, Seez Mics (Educated Consumers), Grey Sky Appeal and others. Renowned turntablists Emoh Betta and DJ Merf also make contributions.

“We tried to construct a cohesive picture which a bunch of loose puzzle pieces,” ESH says. “We hope the listener enjoys the ride.” “

Just a note; there are only 36 of these cassettes left, so don’t sleep too long if you’d like to get your hands one one.

Premrock - a clean well lighted place

“A Clean, Well-Lighted Place” – A Brand New Album from PremRock – Out Now!

PremRock recently dropped a fresh new album called “A Clean, Well-Lighted Place” and it’s available via his Bandcamp right here:

Here are a few words on the project from the man himself:
“Tucked in the fine print of an eviction notice, in the eye of a dope-addled strap hanger, a star-crossed lover, or a drunk who’s overstayed his welcome at even the most liberal of taverns is “A Clean, Well-Lighted Place.” Running scams for a $3 come-up, actually enjoying the incidental lacing of a first blunt, texting former flames for a bit of reassurance on a rainy day in New Jersey drunk off Blackberry Schnapps or being fed-up with the half-assed everythingness of indy rap artists, it all exists in “A Clean, Well-Lighted Place.” It’s the elongated gaze from a complete stranger on the downtown 4 train and feeling as if you know them internally. The space between the space you have to finally sit down between day jobs and bleed a little bit. Maybe it’s Hemingway’s poetic side and not him sipping a Caipirinha and treating his flavor of the month like shit. Maybe it’s a mix of both. Sometimes to the tell the story you have to use angles only a few will understand and worry about the rest later. Sometimes you have to tune out everything that is happening and find “A Clean, Well-Lighted Place.” Hell, it took me a year to get here… More likely it took all 28, but I got here. I hope you enjoy the view as much as I did. All the best, Prem”
